Trip #1- Helen's Lake House
So, we've taken our first trip of PMTBSYWERA (Friday, June 20, 2011)!! Rockingham Lake got a little taste of this crazy group of chicas. We had to attend graduation practice, and a few people got caught behind some school buses, but we eventually got on the road! Everyone brought delicious food to the lake, with the exception of Brittany's delicious-looking strawberry shortcake concoction... we accidentally left it in Helen's refrigerator at home. Anyways, our caravan got on it's way, very fast, thanks to Helen and Sydney's excessive speeding!!! We were so hungry when we finally arrived around 2. We put on our bathing suits and then enjoyed our lunch together. Of course, we had to take some pre-look-nasty-from-the-lake pictures before we went outside. We all spotted an animal making it's way across the lake towards our house. Everyone thought it was a huge beaver except me, I thought it was a dog. What do you know... it was a chocolate lab. He immediately climbed onshore and ran up to the back door. We went out to see him and someone checked his tag. It said, Brandon Powell, so we called him Brandon all day. We laid for out a little while but it quickly got wayyyy too hot for us to stay out of the water. Brandon ran around putting his muddy feet all over everyone's towels. After someone jumped in the water, the dog immediately took up residence on the empty towel. Helen has this really cool board that we used all day. It was kinda like a surf board but really big and reallllly heavy. That thing was sooo fun but a lot of people now have bruises haha. We noticed, a lot later on in the day, that "Brandon Powell" was actually the name of the dog's owner... and that the dog is in fact a "she". Of course, we couldn't stop calling him Brandon, the name had already stuck with us by then. All in all, this trip was really chill and we had lots of crazy fun... I hope that we keep making cool plans and that we will make a lot of sweeeet memories throughout PMTBSYWERA!

FIRST NIGHT
Well, the senior year bucket list kickoff did not actually happen... but we did have a sleepover at Brianna's (wednesday june 8, 2011). This was the first time I had ever been to Brianna's not-so-new-anymore house (everyone else has somehow managed to go like 15 times w/o me). Let me be the first to say, last night was great!! We had a fire, made from a combination of Ms.V's class' physics step stools and worksheets/papers that we'd like to never see again. This included everything from Q-Dawg's IB Math practice exams to Mrs. Shirley's crazy-hard reading packets. We attempted to take a trip to Sonic, but of course they aren't really "open late" like they say... and neither is Wendy's. Don't let them fool you. We all said good-bye to Jordan, who departed for her "16 days" trip this morning (June 9, 2011). We're all hoping that she has the time of her life and falls in love, even if it is "with the state of Colorado" (as Jordan said). It wouldn't be right if I left out the fact that we almost burnt down Brianna's backyard with the burning step stools. Brianna took charge of the pretty-much-only-a-drip hose, and acted as the fireman (second time in a week). As Kristen said, "It's all fun and games...Then It gets serious. :p" We topped it all off with a couple episodes of "My Big Fat Gypsy wedding". That was something crazy, let me tell you. I was knocked out first and was the last one to wake up... so if I missed something, sorry! Last night may not have been the kickoff to the bucket list, but it was still fun!!! All of this was really quite necessary to cut the ribbon on PMTBSYWERA.

JUNE 7
First official day of summer - unless we have to go to remediation:
So, this is the first post of "Pretty Much The Best Summer You Will Ever Read About." Yes, that is what the title of the blog stands for. Yes, I know real grammar, but I capitalized the first letter of every word to make sure that you understand the title. This blog is going to be great, so get ready. We have a bucket list prepared for senior year and you will read, first hand, all about it. Here's to summer of 2011 and "Pretty Much The Best Summer You Will Ever Read About."
